How to become a follower of Jesus Christ and receive the gift of eternal life \u2026<\/p>\n

Who is Jesus? How do I know if I will go to Heaven when I die? How can I become a Christian? If these are questions you\u2019ve been asking, please know that God has the answers. Take a few moments to consider the following passages from the Bible.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.<\/em>\u201d -Romans 3:23<\/strong><\/p>\n

We must understand that each of us has sinned, or done wrong, and fallen short of God\u2019s standard.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/em>\u201d -Romans 6:23<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have earned the penalty of death by our sin, but God offers us something we can never earn, but only receive with faith: eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!<\/em>\u201d -Romans 5:8<\/strong><\/p>\n

What an incredible demonstration of love! Though we were sinners rebelling against God, God chose to remove that barrier of sin between us by sending His Son Jesus Christ – God Himself who became a man – to die on a cross and receive the penalty for our sin.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus fromt he dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.<\/em>\u201d – Romans 10:9,10<\/strong><\/p>\n

To be saved, we must believe that Jesus Christ died for our sin and rose victorious over the grave and convess Him as Lord and Master of our life.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!<\/em>\u201d – Romans 10:13<\/p>\n

It really is that simple. You can call on Him right now<\/em> to save you. Just speak to Him with a humble and believing heart. You might say something like the following: \u201cGod, I know that I am a sinner and I ask for forgiveness. I believe that you sent our Son Jesus Christ to die for my sin so that I caould receive that forgiveness and have eternal life with You. I want to turn away from my old sinful life and turn to my new life with you as my Lord. Thank you for saving me. It is in Jesus\u2019 name that I pray. Amen.\u201d<\/p>\n
